The third annual Latin America Self Storage Expo, an event designed for facility developers, investors and operators interested in the Central and South America markets, will be held April 24-26 at the Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay Hotel in Miami. The conference will feature seminars and vendor exhibits representing all aspects of the storage business, including development, financing, marketing and security, according to a press release.
Tim Dietz, president and CEO of the national Self Storage Association, will deliver the keynote address. Additional speakers include Anne Ballard, president of marketing, training and developmental services at Universal Storage Group; Carlos Cardona, owner and general manager of Bodehogar Storage in Colombia; Thiago Cordero, CEO of Goodstorage in Brazil; and Arie Rezepka, CEO of Aki KB Minibodegas in Chile and Costa Rica.
Add-on events include a developers seminar on April 24 and a facility bus tour on April 26.
"Producing this event for the past two years, first in Panama and last year in Cancun, has shown Latin operators that there is a fun, educational venue to exchange information and ideas geared specifically for the Latin American self-storage market," said David Blum, event producer and president of Better Management Systems LLC. "Attendees in 2017 chose Miami as this year's venue. Miami is the capital of Latin America."
Blum is a U.S.-based consultant who has assisted self-storage developers in several countries, with a focus in Latin America, for the last 14 years.
